Greetings from Fleming Island Florida. I want to personally thank you for the advice and suggestions have given me over the past years. Rowdy, my wonderful lab-basset, suffered from sepearation anxiety when left alone. He would destory anything and everything just to prove he should never be alone. Rowdy was the most adorable dog ~~ even with his anxiety problems. Ok, so shuters had to be replaced, and new sheet rock near the front door as he frantically tried to chew his way out were . But, once I began using your suggestions, he calmed down and stopped damaging the house. The help I received on this website was fantastic.
I lost Rowdy in March due to his advancing years and have just now started to look for another dog. I know I can never replace Rowdy, but I know that I can find a wonderful friend and great companion. Puppies are adorable, but I have decided to rescue an older dog, the ones that are often never adopted. An older dog and I will continue to grow old together. And, rest assured...if I have any questions...rather, when I have questions, I will quickly to turn Gayle and this informative, helpful site.

Thank you Gayle for rescueing an abused little dog 11 years ago that you allowed my husband and i to adopt. When you rescued him we did not think he would trust anyone especialy men. But not so he is a very loving happy little guy who thinks he is human. He and my husband are best buds one is lost without the other. Thanks again Gayle ,Keep up the wonderful work you do of rescueing abandoned and ABUSED animals. When they find you they find HOPE. Oh by the way our little guy says he is not spoiled Always thanks for letting us be a part of all the dogs, horses birds ect that has been a part of your life all these years , it has been a truly rewarding experiance. Your adopted MOM

We have purchased 2 pups from you in the past, we could tell they come from a well loved home, very healthy, and happy pups, I have told all our friends about you and your pups, so I'm sure you will be getting calls for orders, I would recomend your pups to anyone, once you have one, makes you want another, Thank You Gayle.

Thanks "Gordon The Carpenter" for what you have written in my Guestbook. I have to laugh seeing you still refer to my house as the BIG DOGHOUSE where the dogs are kind enough to let me live too!!! In the weeks you were here doing carpentry work on my house, you helped with a difficult birth of one momma dog (in fact without your help I would have lost 2 puppies), you never got upset with "Pickles" for her nipping you everyday when you came to work on the house (instead you brought treats from home to win her over) and most of all you took the time to help me become a better Christian. You patiently answered my million questions on Christianity and taught me that no one is alone when they have God in their heart. Love you Gordon The Carpenter, Shelley and your kids. Granny Gayle

I enjoyed the website. I was contracted by Gayle to do some re-modeling on the big dog house last summer. This was what I would call a life altering experince. My family and I live on a farm and have several animals. Ok alot of animals I thought, 3 dogs, 3 cats, 1 stray cat, 4 horses, minature pony, orfan foal, chickens, ducks and always growing. I have to be honest all that has been Shelly's(girlfriend) passion.
Me, well... I always believed that animals were disposable. Not that I was ever abusive to any animals but really it was more neglect. With the business of life, they are neglected and often given away. Thanks to Shelly and Gayle my eyes have been opened to this and a realization that this unfortunatly is more common than most are aware of. In the time that I spent working there I came to know many of the dogs some more personal than I like. Hey Pickles! I was amazed at the amount of time that was spent in a day to care for these animal. This was "Heaven on Earth" for these dogs! Gayle you really challenged me to see these animals as "God's Creatures". They deserve our love for they truly are a gift from Heaven.
I was blessed to get to see and hear the behind the scene's of the devotion and compassion that you have toward these animals that have been such a big part of your life. I am glad to say that you have become a dear friend to me Gayle. May the Lord Bless you in everything that you do and YES your reward will be in HEAVEN the day that all of creation is redeemded. I truly believe that means the four-legged ones too.
Love you Gayle,
Gordon the Carpeter
