Little One

HER NAME WAS "LITTLE ONE"

Born February 1/2005. Taken away tragically on June 6/2008

Never Forgotten Ever by: Leonard and Pandora Timms of "Lacory Insulation"

Bonnyville, Alberta, Canada

This story is truthfully very sad for this great couple (Leonard and Pandora Timms) who always wanted to live in the country surrounded by a great forest of trees and the "Beauty Of Mother Nature". Always avid animal lovers, they loved their new acreage with the White Tail Deer grazing on their lawn, the array of splendid Wild Birds, even the glorious and graceful Foxes who trotted by their living room window in plain view .................................

All of us living in the country know about COYOTES taking small dogs and cats. Few people realize that the wily FOX is just as deadly.................. BEWARE OF THE FOX TOO!!! BEWARE!!!

The Fox first took "Little One" last fall. One snap of his jaws and he was carrying the sweet 5 pound Pomeranian/Papillion off for his supper.................. he grabbed her only 10 steps away from their country house......................... He took her in Broad Daylight.................. Pandy ran shouting through the doorway and startled he dropped her....................

It was a Sunday. Still in half an hour they had her at a Country Vet's................. Little One's most serious injury was a "Punctured Lung". With each breath, her chest cavity was filling with air from the leaking lung, smothering her, each new breath killing her. The Vet performed emergency help, including drawing the air from her chest cavity with a syringe so she could breath.................... He saved her.....................

He saved her that time.......................

Her loving owners did not get to her in time, this time!!! By June, the foxes are bringing anything and everything home to feed their rapidly growing brood of young, born a few weeks earlier..................... and HER NAME WAS "LITTLE ONE" ...........................

NOTE: Neither Leonard or Pandy hold any animosity towards the fox. They know that he was there first and that he was simply taking anything, any food available home to feed his young. REMEMBER: Mother Nature can sometimes be very cruel ..................................... but "The Fox" was there first and always before us Humans and our domesticated Pets......................... Thanks Pandy for submitting this story for all of us. I have heard the "Tears" in your voice, I know you "Grieve" deeply. Thankyou for understanding that the "FOX" had a job to do also. His Job??? To feed his family of growing young.................................... And may we all remember your "LITTLE ONE" ........................................
