MONDAY: "It's fun to cook!!!," says this Web Host, Gayle. "Today I made an angel food cake. The recipe said beat 12 eggs separately. Fortunately,.. 8 of my neighbors were nice enough to loan me some extra bowls, since I only had 4."
 
TUESDAY: "Thought I'd try fruit salad for supper. The recipe said serve without dressing. So I didn't dress,.......... ended up scaring the crap outta all my dogs !!!!!" 
 
WEDNESDAY: "Thought this was a good day for rice. The recipe said wash thoroughly before steaming the rice. It seemed kinda of silly, but figured, what the heck,... so I took a nice long hot bath. 
( however,..... I can't really say it improved the rice any.) "
 
THURSDAY: "Today seemed like a good day for salad again. I tried a new recipe. It said prepare ingredients, then toss on a bed of lettuce one hour before serving.  My good friend Pat, dropped by for a visit, & I had to explain to her, why I was rolling around in the garden.  Sheesh !!!  That woman is soooooo slow sometimes!!"
 
FRIDAY: "I found an easy recipe for cookies. It said put all ingredients in bowl and beat it. There must have been something wrong with this recipe. When I got back, everything was the same as when I left.  (...... had fun riding my horse though." )
 
SATURDAY: "I brought home a roasting chicken, as the sign said they were on sale !!!  The meat mgr. suggested I dress it for Sunday, & I thought, ...... Wow !!,...... what a great idea !!   Dug out the cutest little doll dress I could find, & put it on the chicken !!"  Sure hope the congregation likes it !!! " 
 
SUNDAY: "Invited my grandson, Travis, for dinner. I wanted to serve a roast, but all I could find was hamburger, then suddenly I had a flash of genius!!!!  I put the hamburger in the oven and set the controls for Roast!!   But much to my disappointment, when I checked it two hours later, it was still hamburger !!!! 
 
GOOD NIGHT DEAR COOKING DIARY. "This has been a very exciting week. I am eager for tomorrow to come, so I can try out a new recipe.  If I could just afford a bigger oven, I would love to try that  "Chocolate Moose" recipe, my friend Pat gave me !!!
