GELDING BY THE FULL MOON

QUESTION: My way older horse friend who I admire a lot says to geld my horse under the light of a FULL MOON? Does this really make a difference? Need to know soon? He really doesn’t give any details, just keeps saying it?

ANSWER: In the Good Old Days, people would plant their gardens under the light of a full moon, believing the vegetables would grow better. No Scientific Proof Of This. In the Good Old Days, people would butcher their beef or pig at home under the light of a full moon, believing the meat would be more tender. No Scientific Proof Of This. In the Good Old Days, people would geld their horses under the light of a full moon, believing they would not swell up as bad. No Scientific Proof Of This.

Basically simply "Old Wives Tales", handed down through the generations. Once again, no scientific proof was ever found to warrant doing so. And since I am an Old Fogey, I tried it in years gone by and it makes no difference at all…………
