Memorial HORSE and RIDER
Statues
Now you can
better understand that splendid and awesome Bronzed
Statue that you viewed of a "Horse and
Rider" in your travels............You knew it was
someone important but you did not know why some Statues
have the Horse in different poses? Perhaps you simply
admired the fine artwork of the Statue of Horse and
Man? Perhaps you took pictures? But why are some
horses posed different?
If a statue in the park
of a person on a horse has both of the horses front legs
in the air, the person died in battle.
If the horse has one
front leg in the air, the person died as a result of
wounds received in battle.
If the horse has all
four legs on the ground, the person died of natural
causes. Perhaps never even entered battle in some
cases?
